Shan Women's Action Network (SWAN): Please introduce yourself and state your current position?
Nang Sam Howm (NSH): My name is Nang Sam Howm. I won election in 2015 and got to be a Member of State Parliament of Namtu. 

SWAN: What did you prepare Before election?
NSH: Before the election and becoming an MP, I have learnt Election Laws, General Laws, Responsible for Members of Parliament, the situation in the community such as social, economy, political history and current situation of voter information. Otherwise, I also prepared the budget for election expenses and collection party members for cooperating in the campaign period of election.

SWAN: Please share your experience being MPs during 5 years?
NSH: During 5 years as a woman parliament member, even I had worked for public development as suitable, it is still needed to concentrate on the implementation of the real and main political expectations of our people

နန်းစံဟွမ်:ကျမ နန်းစံဟွမ် ၊ နမ္မတူမြို့နယ်၊ မဲဆန္ဒနယ်အမှတ် (၂) ရှမ်းပြည်နယ်လွှတ်တော်ကိုယ်စားလှယ် ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

စွမ်း: လွှတ်တော်အမတ်မဖြစ်ခင် ဘာတွေပြင်ဆင်ခဲ့ရပါသလဲ?
နန်းစံဟွမ်: လွှတ်တော်အမှတ်မဖြစ်ခင်မှာ ကျမအနေနဲ့ ရွေးကောက်ပွဲဆိုင်ရာ ဥပဒေ၊ နည်းဥပဒေ၊ လွှတ်တော်ကိုယ်စားလှယ်၏ တာဝန်ဝတ္တရား၊ ဒေသနှင့် နိုင်ငံအတွင်း လူမှုရေး၊ စီးပွားရေး၊ နိုင်ငံရေးသမိုင်းကြောင်းနှင့် လက်ရှိအခြေအနေ၊ မဲဆန္ဒဆိုင်ရာ အချက်အလက်များကို ကြိုတင်လေ့လာခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ထို့အပြင် ရွေးကောက်ပွဲကုန်ကျစရိတ်အတွက် ကြိုတင်ပြင်ဆင်မှု နှင့် စည်းရုံးရေးကာလတွင် ပါဝင်အားဖြည့်မည့်ပါတီဝင်စုစည်းခြင်းများကိုလည်း ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။

စွမ်း: ၅ နှစ်အတွင်း အမျိုးသမီးလွှတ်တော်တစ်ယောက်အနေနဲ့ ကြုံတွေ့ရတဲ့ အတွေ့အကြုံလေး မျှဝေပေးပါ?
နန်းစံဟွမ်: ၅ နှစ်အတွင်း အမျိုးသမီးလွှတ်တော်တစ်ယောက်အနေနဲ့  ဒေသဖွံ့ဖြိုးရေးကို အထိုက်အလျောက် ဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်ခဲ့သော်လည်း ပြည်သူများ အမှန်တကယ်လိုအပ်လျက်ရှိသော နိုင်ငံရေးမျှော်မှန်းချက်များကို အကောင်အထည်ဖော်ဆောင်နိုင်မှုတွင်လိုအပ်နေပါသေးတယ်တယ်။
